| Stray Blood, is my first novel and was first serialized in Mayonaka Tsushin over a two year period. However, the original concept was a feature film script written over 5 years ago. The title then was Iconoclast. It was a pure hard-boiled, action packed "B" flick.
Jason Bretz, now a professional film editor, and I worked on the second draft. And I think it was from the third draft that I started writing on my own. Then I began writing the story in novel form.
Thanks to the honest feed back and encouragement of many Japanese readers, I was able to complete the serialization, which became the novel. An English translation is now in preparation.
The book is illustrated by Miho Arise, a talented "indies" artist. Her work is also under translation and will soon debut in the United States! She is one of the talents represented by Perfect World. Arise-san has already illustrated a T-shirt design for an American company. We shall keep you posted of her activities!

I ususally attend COMITIA, a sosaku doujin market which is held 4 times a year at Big Site in Tokyo. My next scheduled Comitia is in February 2006.
